From charity races to reading partnerships, we take part in a range of activities to help local communities
At Chaucer we take our corporate social responsibilities seriously, although this doesn’t mean we don’t have fun along the way.
Our London Office CSR team is responsible for co-ordinating fundraising activities, volunteering opportunities, corporate donations and helping us to manage our Charity of the Year, currently The Prince’s Trust, and our Charity of the Quarter.
We are keen to support our employees in their own personal fundraising activities.
We regularly hold breakfast clubs, cake sales and dress down days to raise money for charity – all of which are very popular with Chaucer employees.
All employees can donate two days a year to a charity of their choice. Our teams have helped clear gardens, clean beaches, helped out at Scout Camps and have run CV workshops.
Our employees also donate their time to help school pupils with their reading skills at Cayley Primary in Tower Hill, London.
We have recently created the Chaucer Foundation to extend our community support.
The aim of our charitable foundation is to help make a real difference in our communities and to inspire greater volunteer contribution in improving disadvantaged lives.
- To support charitable and social projects in our communities, with emphasis on those projects that help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds achieve their full potential.
- To work with The Prince’s Trust, Chaucer’s ‘Charity of the Year’, to provide fundraising and volunteering support
- To support employees in their personal charitable endeavours
- To provide opportunities for employees to volunteer
